We are dedicated to protecting the cats of Northeast Louisiana by providing compassionate care, lifesaving programs, and a safe place for every cat in need. Through rescue and adoption, community support, and strong partnerships with shelters, rescues, and local caregivers, we work to ensure no cat is forgotten, abandoned, or left without hope. Together with our community, we are building a future where every cat can live safely, stay with the family who loves them, and thrive.
How We Work Toward This Vision
River Cities Humane Society for Cats is committed to building a no-kill future for cats in Northeast Louisiana through a focused strategy that combines lifesaving programs, community support, and strong partnerships.
Our work focuses on expanding rescue and adoption opportunities, supporting families so pets can remain in their homes whenever possible, implementing humane population control through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and collaborating with shelters, rescues, and caregivers across the region.
By strengthening these programs and working alongside our community, we are creating sustainable solutions that protect cats today while building a safer future for the animals of Northeast Louisiana.
